Creative, reportage, documentary, editorial, fine art - there are a number of different names for Woody Poole’s style of photography, but he likes to think his photography is a mix of all these. He has a non-traditional & relaxed take on portrait and milestone photography. He spends the session being present, observant and capturing genuine, real moments.

Woody started learning his way around a camera at the ripe old age of 7, when he started helping his photography- obsessed dad in his dark room. He received his first quality camera at age 11 and took photos for the yearbook in high school. After spending 23 years as a staff photographer for a large independent school, Woody finally decided to establish his own business eight years ago, and the rest is history.

This team goes way back… all the way back to 1986. They look a little bit different now, but they have only gotten better with age, a well oiled machine, where the hand doesn’t even have to think about what the head is doing. While Woody is a dreamer, an idea man, the guy with an eye, Jan is the doer, the planner, the lady with all the ducks in a row. Getting to work together has been one of their greatest joys and they have been and always will be each other’s best friends.
